Meet Díana Gomez of Dulce de Leche Decor in South Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Díana Gomez.

Díana, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m the owner and designer of my own company Dulce de Leche Decor. I am obsessed with party decor. I used to make decorations only for my family. Then l noticed that people around me started to like my style. I remembered my friend Krystal encouraged me to open my Facebook business page. And l did!! I was shocked when customers started to asked questions about my decor. Since then, l have been decorating parties for any occasion! I have an Etsy Shop and Two Facebook pages, and two Instagram accounts. I recently opened my YouTube channel to encourage people to have their own business from home.

That’s the main purpose of Dulce de Leche Decor. I must say it hasn’t been easy. I have a lovely husband and two wonderful kids! They’re very supportive. I’m glad l made the decision to start my own business. From that moment, my life has changed in a good way. At this moment, I’m offering my services in Houston and surrounding areas. I have two helpers and a lot of support from my family. Dulce de leche Decor represents a dream come true. Everything is possible when you take the courage to stand out!!!

Has it been a smooth road?
I must say it was not easy. I had to learn how to balance my time between my family and my business. Like every mom, I want to spend most of my time with my kids. They have always been supportive of my craft.

Dulce de leche Decor is a company that specializes in bringing the client’s vision into a reality. No matter how complicated it looks, l always put the heart into every party decoration I create.

I specialize in Mexican inspired Decor. As a Latina woman, l think it’s important to embrace my beautiful culture.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Well, Houston is the right place to start a business like this, the city is full of diversity, so I have clients from all around the city. My best recommendation would be; To start with what you have in hand, don’t doubt yourself, just do it!

Pricing:

  • Backdrop rental $300 plus delivery and set up feesz
  • Basic package set up. (Customize) $350 plus delivery and set up fees.)
  • Premium package. Wedding, quinceañeras and baby showers $450 plus delivery and set up fees
  • Build your own package $200 & up
