Meet Dr. Melody Jenkins of Well Deserved Wellness & Chiropractic in Northwest Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Melody Jenkins.

Dr. Melody, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I graduated from Texas Chiropractic College, December 2017. My grandfather passed away a week after I graduated. All of January, I was unable to move on. On February 1st, a light went off in my mind. I knew I had to make use of the degree I just received. From there on, I planned out the practice.

On March 1st, I opened the doors to Well Deserved Wellness with only a single chiropractic table and no other equipment. My practice grew with the hard work of myself and the consistency and dedication of my patients. Today we are best equipped to serve the community with electrical stimulation treatments, traction units, vibration plates, soft tissue therapy and chiropractic adjustments.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
To be honest, it has been a very smooth road. As with any newly opened business there were definitely some bumps in the road, but it was not anything I could not handle.

We specialize in holistic, all-natural treatments, helping the body bring out its maximum healing capacity without drugs and surgeries. Our goal is to bring 80 percent of the community into wellness through specialized quality treatments. The majority of our patients come in for pain relief but we specialize in more than that. We get our patients out of pain, but also stabilize their spine and help them transition into a healthy, high-quality life.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I have outgrown our first space and will be starting out the new year in a storefront. I plan to open up three more clinics in the greater Houston area.
