Meet Dylan Meszaros of houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dylan Meszaros.

Hi Dylan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always been the creative type. Originally, I started with drawing and writing, but I have always been passionate about fashion. I began my sewing journey in my junior year of high school and have been rapidly improving ever since. Starting with menswear upcycling, my brand, DIVINE DISTORTION, has evolved into avant-garde and gothic designs for women. I want people to fear the women I dress.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road is never smooth; the first struggle is learning the rules of fashion. The second is to know when to break those rules.

That and in the beginning, I lived with my abusive ex-boyfriend, the pain and struggles became art.

as well and pushing through creative blocks

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I mainly do womenswear. I like to thrift materials like blankets and turn them into something completely new to minimize landfill waste. I am well known for my dark, industrial style that can range anywhere from club culture clothes to streetwear and even luxury business styles. I believe that my style and devotion to my craft set me apart from other creatives in the industry

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
attending fashion shows and pop-ups, buying/commissioning pieces, or even just reposting my content
