Today we’d like to introduce you to Eddy Matchette.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Eddy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Upon the unfortunate passing of my wife due to breast cancer, as a single father I had to do something that allowed me the time to be there when my daughter needed me the most. I have always been a great cook and have always had a passion for providing a great experience with food. It was a no brainer.
Has it been a smooth road?
Absolutely not! The tough part of being a self-employed person is I have to manage myself, and I am a pretty tough manager. Sometimes I hate my boss!
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am a caterer. I specialize in BBQ but, we offer a wide variety of foods that range from burgers and hot dogs to banquets with an Italian menu. Versatility is what sets me apart first and customization of BBQ is next. Customization meaning all of my bbq is not the same. I like to be more of a consultant when working with clients. Building a flavor based on what my client likes and loves is a joy to me.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I wouldn’t start anywhere else. Houston is a food city that has diverse cultures and palettes.

These photos don’t do the taste justice. You can tell when meat is simply cooked or loved to perfection. Rolling Bones is the latter. Oh my, what he does to a bird is nothing short of magical!
