Meet Edward Geller of E.G.Geller in Galleria

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edward Geller.

Born and raised in the shoe business, Mr. Geller is truly a natural and Mrs. Geller quickly caught on becoming a nurse turned shoe expert. Between Mr. Geller’s childhood in his father’s shoe store, his many years in footwear wholesale and Mrs. Geller’s time with Nina Shoes, they both certainly were destined for footwear.

Mr. & Mrs. Geller opened their first store as a Mephisto concept store in 1992 with a vision of stylish, comfortable footwear. Ed Geller grew up in the shoe industry starting with his father owning a children’s shoe store in NYC. He traveled the US in wholesale for over 15 years and ended up in Texas. Gretchen Geller had worked with Nina footwear in wholesale learning a great deal about the industry. Together they decided to the own store.

As they traveled to tradeshows in Europe they began to see many unique comfort footwear lines that were also stylish. The Mephisto concept store quickly blossomed into E.G. Geller and the selection of unique European comfort footwear continues to grow.

Today, E.G. Geller has two locations, an online store and offers over 40 different brands of the world’s finest footwear. Their staff is expertly trained in the art of fitting shoes. Service is what they’re all about.

The Euro Comfort Business is ever changing as new technologies in comfort footwear are developed. E.G. Geller will continue to offer our customers the latest in comfort and style.

“Tell us about your feet and we will tell you about our shoes.”

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?

Great story about building a shoe business. Ed and Gretchen Geller are a wonderful couple and know how to build a successful and thriving shoe business , they work hard at it and it shows in there stores and the folks that work with them. I had the opportunity to work for them when they had there Kansas City store, those were some of the most memorable years of my selling career in shoes. God bless them both and may there business continue to grow and serve there customers.

I’ve dealt with the Geller’s for years and have always found the selection beyond anything I could imagine. The professional;ism of the staff is terrific. I always feel welcome as a returning customer, and feel that my business is truly appreciated. In this day of failing big stores and on line shopping, it is nice to experience the face to face human touch and great service.
