Today we’d like to introduce you to Elda M. Armenta.
Hi Elda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a Houstonian doing what I love for almost 6 years, I’m a Real Estate Agent! I started in sales right after I married and started my family at the age of 18. I learned quickly that regardless of being in sales, I wanted to be helpful, serve my community and people less fortunate. Being the oldest of two in my family and my parents divorcing when I was 15, I was left always attending to my family’s needs, especially because my mother didn’t speak English. Before my real estate career, I was in marketing, I sold services that helped children with disabilities and educated families about these services, in both Spanish and English. I did that for almost 14 years before Real Estate, and I loved it! Regardless, it was time to start my own business, I was ready and now more available to pursue my dream. My girls were now older and didn’t need me as much. My oldest, Ivette, had started a life with her husband Chris. My middle child, Abby, was getting ready to start hers with her now husband Dillon, and my youngest, Elyssa, was still in high school but getting ready to move to Norman Oklahoma, to start her study in Theatre. My husband Rafael and I were now empty nesters!! I felt that it was my turn! My turn to shine and grow in another way, as a passionate professional! With the blessing of my family, I began my own journey! Now, almost 6 years later, I have a wonderful chance to help people get their first home, investment home, sell their property or for most, start getting them ready to purchase a home by guiding them on how to better their credit, employment or increase their savings. I believe that if they know the steps, understand the terms and get educated in the process, with my guidance, they will be more confident to moving forward and doing the first greatest investment of their lives. This year I’ve expanded my knowledge and business by starting my own team, Sunshine Realty Group.! I can now help those that want to become a Realtor by being their mentor. I am excited to keep moving forward, growing and one day having the best serving team to clients with their real estate needs!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. Like any successful business, it takes time, patience and love. It’s not just fun and showing houses, it’s more than that! It’s negotiating, fighting for your clients’ best interest, making sure that I as an agent, I do my due diligence throughout the transaction, scheduling inspections, appraisals, surveys or anything else that may be needed. Staying on top of it all because the clients depend on it. Regardless, it is very rewarding!! Their happiness is priceless!

Sunshine Realty Group is a team sponsored by White Picket Realty, Brokerage. Sunshine Realty Group is composed of two agents for now, Elissa Cruz and myself, Elda Armenta. I have been in the business since 2016. We both serve in the Houston and surrounding areas including: Pearland, Friendswood, Webster, Bay Area, Pasadena, Deer Park, League City, Alvin, Manvel, Missouri City, Sugarland, Rosenburg, Richmond, Spring, Cypress, Humble and many more. We help families get into their homes, whether it’s their first home, an investment property, or the selling of their property by teaching them the process, guiding them and pointing them to the right direction.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is balance, fulfillment and happiness. It happens when your idea of balance is met, it can’t be defined by any monetary purpose. It’s made by those who try their hardest and shine! It’s the accomplishment and difference you make in You, your family and others around you. It’s the feeling of sunshine inside you!!!
