Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Parry.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
As a second generation licensed interior designer and business owner for fifteen years, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for quality products and making all things beautiful. In early two thousand, my passion flourished in an unexpected direction when I created my first beauty product in my very own kitchen with my KitchenAid mixer. I remember that day clearly. I thought, I can make this and better! When I began giving products to my closest friends, they would say, ‘these are really good, you should sell them’. Years later, I decided to make a difference when personally diagnosed with significant allergies and autoimmune issues. I knew my products were good and felt I could really make a difference for a lot of people just like me. So many of the products on the market today make false claims and are filled with harmful ingredients that many react to. It was at this time I began working with chemists to develop a product line with zero parabens, phthalates, dyes, fragrance, or chemicals of any kind. When expecting my son, I became adamant on using zero chemical products as much as possible. The same rang true after his birth and ever since. Our products are 100% natural made with the highest quality ingredients that are so pure and healthy, even infants can use them. This is very important to me.
Has it been a smooth road?
I think good business is typically not a smooth road. You must take chances. Some work, some don’t but you learn and quickly! I love what I do and I think that is the key ingredient for any type of business to succeed. In my particular business, there are many facets from packaging, to manufacturing to shipping and sales. We had some shipping challenges in the very beginning. I am involved in all aspects of my business but also know that some things must be hired out. Good business is finding that balance while staying true to your brand.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love everything about Houston! As a South Carolina transplant who’s lived here for the past decade, I chose Houston for many different reasons. I love the arts and culture this amazing city has to offer. After living in Europe for a year and a half, I think Houston is great because there are so many cultures here and we have access to just about anything, the possibilities are endless. Our economy is robust and it’s a great city for many types of businesses. It does get hot in the summer but I just look at it as a free daily facial!
