Today we’d like to introduce you to Erik Monrreal.
Erik was born in the sunny state of California in 1989 and raised in Houston, TX, which he calls home. With a background in interior design, experience working in the fashion industry, and passion for event planning, he decided to launch MONRREAL & Co. His dedication and commitment has earned his company “Best of Weddings with The Knot” for the last four consecutive years and in 2017 MONRREAL & CO. became an official member of The Hall of Fame. He is also member of NACE (National Association for Catering & Events) and a strong supporter of the Human Rights Campaign, Wish Upon A Wedding and LOVE146. MONRREAL & Co. has also been featured in several magazines and blogs showcasing his talents and hard work. Erik’s favorite part of working in this industry is having the privilege of meeting new people and always learning new techniques to ensure our customers are getting the best for their money! Not only is Erik a hard worker, self-motivated, and outspoken person, he loves to help people around him grow. Erik has been dedicated to give back to the Houston community by partnering with a lot of non-profits and using the power of Philanthropy to raise money. His joy is to have the ability to give back.
Has it been a smooth road?
Starting a new business journey is extremely scary and maintaining a successful business is stressful and requires a lot of commitment and dedication. Erik started MONRREAL & CO. from a room in his loft in the Houston Medical Center, but he fast learned his business grew more and more with each event. Space is a huge challenge because in this business industry you never stop purchasing new merchandise and staying in top of the new trends. The biggest struggle has definitely been space but with a little bit of imagination and ability to organize you can make almost any space work!

MONRREAL & CO. is a full event production company, we specialize in working with brides and non-profits. We enjoy working on all steps of the event from ideas to execution. We offer event planning, in house florist, luxury decor rentals and of course event planning\design, we are constantly updating our inventory and staying in top of the new fashion trends!

Houston has definitely been a huge part of the success of MONRREAL & CO. our beautiful city offer a lot of different clients and budgets. The diversity in Houston is huge which allows us to be creative with each event, I would definitely recommend starting a small business in Houston!
