Today we’d like to introduce you to Eva Pearson.
Hi Eva, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I love color, design, fashion, music, New York, and taxi cabs. My passion is creating beauty in daily life that turns the ordinary into luxury. I enjoy turning an everyday moment into a special occasion. My stationery, greeting cards, and gift box designs bring celebrations to life!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Throughout the years, my friends and family would turn to me for help in celebrating their moments – both big and small. Whether selecting the perfect outfit with accessories to make the room take notice or planning a gathering to the smallest detail with those special touches that make the evening memorable, I’ve always encouraged those around me to make “it” a celebration.
About three years ago, I started designing and creating my own greeting cards to give to the special people in my life, and the reactions were magnanimous in the calls for MORE! I received the encouragement and support needed to make that leap into entrepreneurship and start my own business, Say It With Evie Stationery Boutique, doing something that I love. I’ve even been blessed to have my line included in several larger hospital gift shops in the local area!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As you can imagine, that launch three years ago was full of excitement and promise without the slightest hint of what we would experience in March 2020 with the start of the lockdowns for Covid-19. Most of the publicity for my business up to that point occurred through word-of-mouth and Pop Up Shop events in area businesses, but all of this came to a halt with the shutdowns.
In addition, I found myself struggling to stay awake and focused on my product lines, since I work in the medical field for a larger local hospital in the Texas Medical Center. I was exhausted by the end of day. Regardless, I am optimistic about the future! Pop Up Shops are opening again, and I know that people are ready to find glimpses of joy in ordinary days.
