Meet Evelin Hernandez of Table 7 Design Co. in South East-Baytown Area

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evelin Hernandez.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Evelin. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
You can say that even tho I love helping others and many hoped I would be a teacher or psychology major my studies took a turn and somehow I ended up taking some cad and Interior design classes. I couldn’t find a market for my style at the time so I turned to retail and I spent the next 13 years there. I loved it but design was always on my mind and used it every chance I could. Nine years ago I threw my daughters first birthday I knew this is what I wanted to do, two years later I did my sisters wedding and I started doing family and friends events. It wasn’t until five years ago I rented a small studio for fitness classes I struggled to make rent and I said what else can I use this space for? My party planning life began. We started with small parties, then weddings, we started decorating homes and we recently collaborated on some corporate events.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Like I shared before some of my struggles but they pushed me and made me better. I didn’t have anyone to mentor me on the creative aspect and business planning now I do that for others.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Table 7 Design Co. – what should we know?
One of my businesses is Table 7 Design co. Also known as Table 7 events & Interior design. We are an event and design company specializing in all types of events and interior design. We make sure you have the best birthday party, the warmest baby shower, fun bridal shower and a wedding to remember. We are known for our balloon installations and for our floral arrangements. We also have a small hall The Oak on Pruett in Baytown, TX we cater to all types of events. We love styling homes and corporate events. What sets us apart is even though our clients might send us a picture for inspiration we still make the event unique and true to us. We are punctual and try to only under promise and over deliver.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My faith is very important to my success. I am nothing without my creator. He has given me the talent and calling I just make sure that I don’t take it for granted and make the best of what he gives me. I get my creativity and taste from my mom. I am a team player and mentor others.
