Today we’d like to introduce you to Fahad Siddiqi.
Hi Fahad, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, to a family of Pakistani immigrants. My parents came to the United States in 1980 in search of better opportunities, and they instilled in me and my siblings a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for both our Eastern heritage and the opportunities this country has to offer.
Like many first-generation Americans, I was encouraged to pursue higher education and a stable career. I’ve always been business-minded, so studying finance and economics felt like a natural path—it laid the foundation for everything that followed. I began my career as a financial advisor at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where I gained invaluable experience working with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and nonprofit organizations. Helping clients manage their assets and investments taught me a lot, not just about finance, but about how real wealth is built.
What stood out to me during those years was a consistent theme: many of the wealthiest clients I worked with had made their money in real estate. That sparked something in me. I started to look at real estate not just as an asset class, but as a powerful vehicle for long-term wealth creation.
Then 2020 hit. The COVID-19 pandemic changed everything. Like many people, I was working from home and found myself with more flexibility—and more time to think. My wife and I decided to make our first personal real estate investment: a townhome we initially intended to live in. After doing some renovations, we got an attractive offer before we even moved in. That quick return on investment was an eye-opener. Over the next three years, we completed more than 20 similar fix-and-flip projects.
As my experience grew, so did my passion for real estate. I realized this was more than just a side hustle—it was my calling. I scaled up, built a team, and moved into larger, more complex investments.
At the same time, something else was happening. Friends, family, and colleagues started reaching out, asking how they could get involved in real estate investing. Most of them didn’t have the time or expertise to do it themselves, but they trusted me to guide them.
To be honest, I was hesitant at first. Managing other people’s money is a huge responsibility, and I didn’t take that lightly. But as interest grew, I saw a unique opportunity to scale my business while also giving others access to ethical, profitable real estate investments.
That’s when Kings Private Equity Group was born.
I founded KPEG with a clear mission: to create real estate investment opportunities that are both Halal and Shariah-compliant—investments that align with my personal and religious values. But beyond the ethical framework, I quickly realized that this model wasn’t just the “right” way to invest—it was also a financially strong and sustainable strategy.
My goal isn’t just to make money. It’s about building generational wealth in a way that stays true to my values. I want to prove that Shariah-compliant investing isn’t just possible—it’s competitive, profitable, and needed now more than ever.
Today, Kings Private Equity Group is growing rapidly. We’re expanding our fund and welcoming more investors who care about both profitability and principles. With a focus on transparency, financial stability, and community-driven growth, I’m working to redefine what it means to invest in real estate—and I couldn’t be more excited about what lies ahead.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road! As most people can attest to, the past 5 years post COVID have seen the markets and investing landscape be very volatile. Interest rates have gone from low to high and so has inflation and pricing. This has definitely put us real estate operators on our toes and constantly looking for ways to adjust and evolve while still producing good product for our consumers. With labor and material costs going and resale market pricing coming down it has for sure squeezed profit margins and even forced many to either foreclose or abandon development projects as well. One thing that has not changed, in fact it has grown, is the appetite of investors wanting to grow their money in safe investments with reliable returns.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Kings Private Equity Group (KPEG) is a real estate investment firm that focuses on development and construction of residential and commerical assets. Our goal is to find high value and growth opportunities. With a combined experience over 30 years our group is involved and manages projects every step of the way starting with acquisitions, development, construction and sales.
In today’s rapidly evolving financial world, the demand for ethical, values-driven investments has never been stronger and this is where KPEG blazes the trail of bringing a Halal/Shariah compliant real estate investment platform to the USA Muslim population.
Halal crowdfunding adheres to Shariah principles, avoiding interest (Riba), excessive uncertainty (Gharar), and involvement in prohibited (Haram) industries. Instead, it emphasizes asset-backed investments, profit-sharing models, and equitable risk-sharing, offering a transparent and fair alternative to conventional crowdfunding.
Compared to traditional crowdfunding, which often focuses on flexibility and profitability, Halal crowdfunding is values-driven. KPEG is not just about making profits. We seek to build a more ethical and sustainable economic future while taking less risk without compromising value and growth.
How do you think about happiness?
My happiness is centered around my family. Spending quality time with my wife and watching our children grow is the ultimate goal for me.
