Meet Farid Premani of University of Early Childhood Development

Today we’d like to introduce you to Farid Premani.

Farid, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
This journey started 12 years back when I launched my career transitioning and evaluating my passion from Biotechnologist into as Educationist. Having passion and zeal for public speaking and training I was fortunate to work for some top notch organizations namely World Bank Group, CGAP for poverty alleviation, Aga khan Development Network & Germany University Frankfurt like projects that groomed my vision targeting education towards poverty alleviation and income enhancement. I launched my first book on concept of social entrepreneurship and technology which got massive response giving me publication and speech time sharing my model at TED talks where I pilot tested my idea and having affirmation from massive audience this first custom continuing education school was born and launched as Texas School of Continuing Education & Recruitment with an aim initially to serve Texas but now spreading across North American audience having two present branches in Houston & San Antonio. Our model is different from other as we bring fast track career courses enhancing under served and challenged individuals to put them back into workforce. Disabled individuals are another segment we highly serve bringing hope to their lives. University of Early Childhood Development (UOECD.COM) got established last year as an online animation based learning portal for kids aged 0-8 and parents as we learnt how ECD impacts in early infants and impacts up to 210% faster, so we thought to do something serving this untapped market. We launched our focus group and survey researches and learned that kids like cartoon and animations but to-date there is nothing present other than alternate games which they play and parents provide them tablets to keep them engaged. Hence UOECD was borne with a concept of 2 minute cartoon based animation video for infants and parents.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It was never a smooth road because I had to quit my high earning corporate job to chase these dreams and start from scratch inventing a new model that initially people don’t trust until they see the needle moving but I guess it’s the same story behind every passionate entrepreneur.

God is kind, vision he bestowed brought lot of satisfaction creating impact in life of others which is a self-motivation factor.

Please tell us about University of Early Childhood Development.
We are proud because it’s a sustainable for profit company doing high social impact in continuing education field giving jobs to people helping eradicate poverty & unemployment. On the other hand this new early child hood development venture is altogether an untapped market in terms of content space. Nothing as such exist to date so its lot difficult to develop a baseline with interest.

Although there are lot of Montessori schools and ECD centers growing but traditional training practices are the same. This UOECD cartoon based animation system will help them facilitate transition into a creative learning arena both for kids and parents.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Always follow your passion selflessly.
