Check Out Fast Park & Relax in William P. Hobby Airport

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fast Park & Relax. Their team shared their story with us below.

So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Our family has been dedicated to offering travelers a better alternative to traditional airport parking since the early 1980s, when our parent company, Parking Company of America, acquired land adjacent to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. The goal was to give business travelers an alternative to airport parking that was less expensive and more convenient. Today, that goal remains the same and has made Fast Park one of the largest airport parking owners/operators in the United States. Our current facilities are located in Albuquerque-ABQ, Atlanta-ATL, Austin-AUS, Baltimore-BWI (two facilities), Cincinnati-CVG, Cleveland-CLE (two facilities), Houston-IAH, Houston-HOU, Indianapolis-IND, Memphis-MEM, Milwaukee-MKE, Orlando-MCO, Raleigh-RDU and Tucson-TUS.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We’ve been fortunate to have seen a lot of growth over the years whether it be opening a new facility or adding mobile capabilities to our Relax for Rewards program. You have to know that growth comes with many challenges, but it’s important to overcome them with bigger and better ideas.

Fast Park & Relax – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
For decades, we’ve built our name and reputation on finding innovative ways to make airport parking as effortless as possible. We are a third-generation family business committed to our customers, our employees and our communities.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Customer service is at the heart of our business and drives all decision making. It goes much deeper than a mission statement or selling tactic – it is embedded in our culture and serves as a true measure of our success. We don’t see our service as a simple parking option. We know we’re the start of an important vacation, a business trip, a charitable mission or a family reunion. It’s our job to make certain that start is relaxing, swift and convenient, and the return home is more of the same.

We’re also focused on creating a workplace that attracts positive, high-energy and talented employees. They are the reason our customer service efforts are effective. They are the reason your every need is met. They make us better. We are very proud of our people and their passion for what we do.

Of course, the communities in which we live, work and play also are important. We feel a great sense of responsibility to ensure our efforts make a difference. Each of our facilities supports local efforts by donating time or resources to various causes. We also hold an annual canned food drive in which we donate $1 for every pound of food collected to a local food bank. It makes us happy and proud to support those in need, especially when it supports our neighbors who need it the most.

If you had to start over, what would you have done differently?
Our roots are in downtown parking services, and while that continues to be a priority, we love the airport parking business. I only wish we would have discovered that passion sooner. We live for the chance to interact with our customers every day and have fun creating new ways to engage them.
