Today we’d like to introduce you to Felicia Shantell.
Felicia, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I got started with my business on a maybe mission. Back in 2018, the salon I worked at closed down and I didn’t know what I was going to do with my career at that moment and time, but I had friends who supported the family and me the stood by me. Later that year, I was forced to take another leap of faith. I work for an entertainment company for four years at the time, but then suddenly felt as if my services were no longer needed. So I did as Steve Harvey said and Jumped. With no money in my pocket, I funded my own Entertainment Company, I.A.G.( I Am Goddess) Productions with sponsors from the Community. Now in 2020, we are Celebrating our first year. With that being said, I can’t complain, I have been very blessed.
Has it been a smooth road?
Because I believe in my vision, I struggled to keep it alive. I saw how hard I would hustle to continue this vision happening because I realized I was on a mission from God himself. So I did hair I put shows I’ve went talk to every Club in the city of Houston to make sure that I will be able to have events I talked to different business owners to see if they would sponsor a new and up-and-coming Company I went to people that I previously did business with the other company to see if they will sponsor my company. I heard more noise and yeses because people who have done business with before felt like I’ll be like how old business owner. But it took one person to have faith in what I was trying to do for me to keep going and progressing, and that was myself. I have faith in what I was doing because I knew that if God is giving me this mission, that means it was meant for me to complete it, and I’ve been on that mission ever since.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
