Meet Fernando Dorian of CrossFit BNKR in Sugar Land

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fernando Dorian.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Fernando. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Our story is simple. Having visited a handful of CrossFit gyms one thing stood out. They were all dirty, cluttered warehouse type facilities that if you didn’t know better you’d think you were in someone’s garage.

CrossFit is a tough sport where athletes push themselves to the limit, this much we know but just because the sport is tough doesn’t mean the facility where we do it has to be.

Those days are over.

At BNKR CrossFit we’ve combined a beautiful, clean environment and tons of amenities with the best equipment making CrossFit a place athletes want to go. We have found that the best results come from athletes that “show up” so we have made showing up more desirable.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The biggest struggle with CrossFit is getting someone in the door. It’s intimidating at first.

But once people get past the fear in their head they show up and realize they can do it.

It a proactive approach at wellness. We CrossFit because we take life seriously. We’d rather put the work in on the front end and enjoy life to its fullest. CrossFit drastically improves ones quality of life.

Getting someone to see that upfront is our biggest hurdle but we never give up.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the CrossFit BNKR story. Tell us more about the business.
We build elite athletes. We specialize in not specializing.

As a coach at BNKR, I’m most proud of all the hard work our athletes put in everyday rain or shine.

Our community’s commitment to one another and the sport is inspiring and I’m fortunate to be a part of it.
