Meet FOF Studios of Fof Studios

Today we’d like to introduce you to FOF Studios.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
title: From Behind the Camera to Building a Studio for the Culture: Creating Opportunities for Artists in Houston

My journey really started with a camera and a curiosity for the culture around me. I was always around music, artists, and the creative side of things, and I naturally started documenting it. At first it was just filming music videos and moments with local artists, but over time I realized there was a bigger story to tell. I wanted to capture the lifestyle, the grind, and the behind-the-scenes process of artists creating music and building something from nothing.

That eventually grew into my YouTube platform, where we’ve now reached over 25 million views and more than 28,000 subscribers. What started as simple videos turned into a place where people could see the real side of music culture — studio sessions, conversations, late-night creativity, and the personalities behind the artists. Along the way I’ve had the opportunity to work with artists like A$AP Rocky, Kodak Black, NBA YoungBoy, NoCap, OG 3Three, Toosii, J Prince Jr, Skilla Baby, and others who are shaping the culture.

As the platform grew, I realized the next step was building a physical space where artists could create, collaborate, and feel comfortable. That’s how the studio was born. The goal was never just to have a recording studio — it was to create a hub where artists, producers, videographers, and creatives could come together and work.

A big part of that vision comes from my own experience. I know firsthand how difficult it can be for artists and creatives when they’re first starting out. A lot of people have talent but don’t always have access to the right resources, connections, or environment to grow. Because of that, we try to make the studio a place where artists feel supported and welcomed. Whether someone is just starting out or already established, the goal is to give them a space to create and be part of something.

What makes the studio special is that it’s not just about recording songs. It’s about capturing moments. Many times artists will pull up late at night, record something that might turn into their next big record, and we’re able to document that process. Fans usually only see the final product, but the real magic happens in those late-night sessions and conversations in the studio.

Another big part of what we do is documenting the culture. We film studio sessions, behind-the-scenes moments, interviews, lifestyle content, and performances. The goal is to show the real side of the music industry — the work, the creativity, and the personalities behind the music.

Houston has always had a strong music culture, and being part of that environment is inspiring. There are so many talented artists and creators here, and it feels like the city is constantly producing new energy. Being able to provide a space and a platform for that creativity is something I’m proud of.

Looking forward, the vision is to keep growing the platform into something bigger than just a studio or a YouTube channel. The goal is to build a media platform that documents music culture in real time — the artists, the lifestyle, and the stories that deserve to be seen.

At the end of the day, it’s about building something authentic. The culture can tell when something is real, and that’s always been the focus: real moments, real artists, real stories, and creating opportunities for the next generation of creatives.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like most things in the creative world, there are a lot of ups and downs that people don’t see behind the scenes. In the early stages especially, you’re putting a lot of time, energy, and your own money into something without always knowing how it’s going to turn out.

One of the biggest challenges has simply been building everything from the ground up. When you’re starting out, you’re wearing a lot of hats — filming, editing, managing the space, connecting with artists, and trying to grow a platform at the same time. There are long nights, trial and error, and moments where you’re figuring things out as you go.

Another challenge is that the creative industry can be competitive, and sometimes people underestimate what you’re building until they start to see the vision. But those experiences really helped me stay focused and keep improving.

At the same time, those struggles are also what made the journey meaningful. Going through those experiences firsthand gave me a lot of perspective on how difficult it can be for artists and creatives who are trying to build something for themselves. That’s a big reason why I care about creating opportunities and a supportive environment for people who come through the studio.

Looking back, every challenge has really just been part of the process. It’s helped shape the vision and pushed me to keep building something that’s authentic to the culture and beneficial for the community around it.

As you know, we’re big fans of Fof Studios. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
FOF Studios is a creative space built around music, culture, and storytelling. At its core, it’s a recording studio, but the vision has always been bigger than just recording songs. The goal is to create a hub where artists, producers, videographers, and creatives can come together to create, collaborate, and share their stories.

Over time the studio naturally evolved into more than just a recording space. Because of my background in filming and documenting artists, we also focus heavily on capturing the creative process behind the music. We film studio sessions, interviews, lifestyle content, and performance videos that give fans a real look at how music is being created.

One thing that really sets FOF Studios apart is the combination of music creation and media. Many artists come in to record but also leave with content that helps promote their music and tell their story. That could be behind-the-scenes footage, studio performances, or YouTube content that gives fans a deeper look into the process.

Another big part of the vision is community. Having been around artists and creatives for a long time, I understand how difficult it can be for people starting out to find the right environment to grow. Because of that, we try to create a space where artists feel comfortable, supported, and inspired when they walk through the door.

Houston has always had a strong music culture, and it’s exciting to be part of that energy. FOF Studios aims to contribute to that culture by giving artists a place to create while also documenting the stories and moments happening in the city’s music scene.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the relationships and community that have grown around the studio. Seeing artists come through, collaborate, and build momentum is something that motivates me to keep pushing the vision forward.

Looking ahead, the goal is to continue expanding FOF Studios into a larger media platform that not only supports artists in Houston but also documents the culture in real time and helps shine a light on the next generation of talent.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
One thing I’d also like readers to know about is our YouTube platform, FOF Outlet. In many ways, FOF Studios is powered by FOF Outlet because it’s where we document and share the creative moments happening inside the studio and around the culture.

FOF Outlet started as a way to highlight artists, studio sessions, and the real behind-the-scenes side of music that people don’t always get to see. Over time it has grown into a platform with more than 25 million views and over 28,000 subscribe. Come connect with us and grow with us!
