Gaby Tafhurt:
Originally from Puebla, Mexico, and now proudly based in Houston, Texas, Gaby Tafhurt has dedicated her life to serving others. A respected television host, producer, community leader, entrepreneur, humanitarian, and social advocate, she has become a trusted voice within the immigrant community, using media, education, and outreach to inspire positive change.
Gaby’s journey in communications began in Mexico, where she studied Communication Sciences and worked in television, production, editing, and modeling. She was part of the television program and magazine Conociendo Puebla, experiences that laid the foundation for a career spanning more than two decades in broadcasting and community engagement. She later completed the Community Shared Leadership Diploma Program at Prairie View A&M University, further strengthening her leadership skills and commitment to public service.
Driven by a profound desire to help others, Gaby also became a certified Chaplain specializing in end-of-life care. She has trained pastors, priests, ministers, and community leaders at institutions including Memorial Hermann and Methodist Hospitals, equipping them to provide compassionate support to individuals and families facing illness, grief, incarceration, and life’s most vulnerable moments.
For more than 20 years, Gaby has worked tirelessly with nonprofit organizations, faith-based ministries, and humanitarian initiatives. She served for six years as the leader of Manos que Sanan and has collaborated with TAP & Tafhurt Ministries and Matuk by Gaby Tafhurt, organizations devoted to volunteerism, international humanitarian aid, and community development.
One of her most meaningful humanitarian efforts came after the devastating earthquake in Mexico. Working alongside respected organizations and television stations in Houston, she coordinated the delivery of a full truckload of essential supplies—including mattresses, diapers, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and emergency necessities—to affected communities. She also organized financial donations and construction materials for families living near the Popocatépetl Volcano, personally ensuring that the assistance reached those who needed it most.
For more than a decade, Gaby has maintained a close partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico in Houston, collaborating with churches, universities, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies to develop public awareness campaigns, educational initiatives, and community-focused television productions.
Her work in media extends beyond television hosting. She has appeared in U.S. film productions, including the feature film Papá No Me Dejes, which highlights the challenges and contributions of immigrant families, and the short film Mi Historia de Navidad, a project that celebrates family unity and hope.
Known for her authenticity and professionalism, Gaby has spent more than 13 consecutive years hosting live television without interruption. Her career includes programs such as 24/7 on EbeMisión TV, Tempranito in San Antonio with the women’s empowerment segment Siempre Bella, Restaurando Corazones on Nación TV, and four years producing and directing Vive Hoy on RTV, where she interviewed community leaders, artists, and nonprofit organizations committed to making a positive difference.
Today, Gaby serves as a television host for Multimedios Houston and Multimedios USA, where she leads two signature programs: Hombres & Mujeres de Éxito, showcasing inspiring stories of leadership, perseverance, and entrepreneurship, and Comunidad Sin Fronteras, a platform dedicated to connecting vulnerable families with essential resources and raising awareness about domestic violence, child abuse prevention, dyslexia, autism, and the importance of understanding and embracing life on the autism spectrum.
She is also a host of Fuerza Migrante: Historias de Éxito, recorded from the Consulate General of Mexico in Houston and other locations, where she highlights inspiring stories of resilience, leadership, and the invaluable contributions of immigrants to society.
Beyond broadcasting, Gaby continues to serve as President of Media and Social Networks for 50+1 Texas and Director of Marketing, Media, and Social Networks for Alianza por el Bien Migrante, strengthening partnerships that empower and uplift immigrant communities throughout Texas.
As an entrepreneur, she is the founder of Gaby Tafhurt All Unique and Matuk by Gaby Tafhurt, brands that celebrate creativity, culture, and women’s empowerment.
Above all, Gaby considers her greatest role to be that of a mother to her three daughters and grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren. Every project she undertakes reflects her unwavering belief that leadership begins with compassion and that true success is measured by the lives we touch.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the greatest challenges of my life was leaving behind my country, my family, my traditions, and everything that was familiar to begin a new chapter in the United States. Starting over in a new country requires courage, resilience, and a willingness to embrace a different culture while honoring your own roots.
One of my biggest goals was not only to adapt but to truly understand the culture, discover how I could contribute, and become someone who serves, supports, and uplifts the immigrant community. I wanted to build a meaningful life while representing Mexico with pride through my work as an entrepreneur, television host, community leader, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Every step of this journey has been both a challenge and a blessing. I have an immense love and deep gratitude for the United States—a country that welcomed me, opened doors, and gave me opportunities to grow personally and professionally. It has taught me that no matter where we come from, we all have the ability to make a positive impact.
I firmly believe that wherever life places us, we have the opportunity to serve others, build bridges, and create stronger communities together. By respecting different cultures, honoring the laws and values of the country we call home, and treating one another with empathy and dignity, we can inspire meaningful change and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

Television has never been just a career for me—it is my passion, my purpose, and the legacy I hope to leave behind. What has truly distinguished my journey is my commitment to hosting live television for more than 14 consecutive years. Every program has been broadcast live, allowing authentic conversations, real-time interaction, and a genuine connection with the community.
I have always believed that television is far more than entertainment; it is a powerful platform to inform, educate, inspire, and serve. Throughout my career, I have dedicated my programs to giving a voice to community leaders, nonprofit organizations, physicians, attorneys, educators, entrepreneurs, and individuals whose work positively impacts people’s lives. My goal has always been to use every interview as an opportunity to connect the community with valuable resources, trusted information, and meaningful support.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work has been serving as a bridge between those who need help and the organizations committed to providing it. Through my television programs, I have helped connect families with nonprofits and community services, ensuring that available resources reach the people who need them most.
I have also participated in English-language television campaigns focused on domestic violence awareness, collaborating with consular officials, community leaders, and partner organizations to educate the public and encourage those in need to seek help. These initiatives have reinforced my belief that media can save lives, strengthen communities, and inspire hope.
Whether serving the Hispanic community or the broader American community, my mission has always remained the same: to use the privilege of being on television to make a meaningful difference, build connections, and remind people that when we work together with compassion and purpose, we can create stronger, healthier, and more united communities.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see a world of possibilities for our industry over the next five to ten years. As technology continues to evolve, the greatest opportunity will not simply be to communicate faster, but to connect more meaningfully and create lasting impact within our communities.
I believe one of our greatest responsibilities is to open doors for the next generation—helping young people discover, develop, and expand their talents while creating opportunities, connections, and platforms where they can grow. By mentoring, encouraging, and empowering future leaders, we ensure that the work we do today becomes a lasting legacy that continues to benefit others for years to come.
I also believe collaboration will become more important than ever. When media, businesses, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and public institutions work together, we can create solutions that reach more people and inspire real change.
I look to the future with great optimism. I truly believe many blessings are ahead—not only for our industry but for the communities we serve. Together, we have the opportunity to build a future defined by compassion, innovation, service, and hope, leaving a legacy that empowers generations to come.
