Today we’d like to introduce you to Gary Bartels.
Gary, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After my second tour to Iraq, I came home with issues. Through much struggle and prayer and blessing, OATH was founded to help Veterans like myself.
Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. Struggles included juggling my job and growing OATH, fundraising for the various OATH events, etc.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the OATH, Inc. story. Tell us more about the business.
Outdoor Association for True Heroes, Incorporated, or OATH, Inc., is a faith based Nonprofit Organization that utilizes various outdoors activities centered around Faith, Family, and Community to improve the quality of life of our eligible veterans. We specialize in taking our Veterans on outdoors evens to include but not limited to hunting trips, fishing trips, etc. We don’t stop there, we do trips for the wives of our Veterans, as well as for the kiddos as well.

As a company, we are most proud of the faith approach that we utilize, that sets us apart because we rely on our faith a great deal to pave the way for our operations.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
It’s hard to tell with nonprofit work, but I see our support base growing for sure!
