Gibran, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My name is Gibran Nassif. I am a musician, producer and music entrepreneur. I have worked in the music industry for the past decade. I started playing drums when I was seven. By the time I finished college, I hopped on a national tour supporting Grammy winning rock band, Imagine Dragons, and Awolnation. After gaining crucial music industry contacts, I dove into working for Universal Music Group, Taylor Swifts label “Big Machine Records”, and independent artist management. After working in the record business, I decided to pursue music education and the business behind it. After being laid off from my music industry job in March 2020 due to Covid-19 Pandemic, I decided to take a reset. I then formed Pulse Music School. I reached out to my music industry network of recognized industry musicians and producers. By April 15th, Pulse Music School became a reality, with six instructors and dozens of students signing up for lessons. We are a virtual music lesson platform online, and offer private lessons and classes in real-time. The famous instructors are live in real-time with the student. Since I love music, I want to give back to people. Besides offering a comprehensive music lesson curriculum, we like to offer music as a therapy for kids, adults, and elderly during these challenging times.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Every start up business faces challenges and obstacles. I honestly love the thrill of challenging myself. There have been some obstacles, but that is what it takes to succeed. Our platform is always finding new ways to reach people through music, and we will continue to adapt to changes and trends.

We are a virtual music lesson platform. We offer private online lessons and classes in music production, voice, songwriting, piano, guitar, drums, violin, and DJ. Our instructors have toured across the globe, signed major record deals, and produced major records for artists like Wiz Khalifa, 2-Chainz, Awolnation, Asap Rocky, NBA, and more! Our lessons are live with the famous instructor and student in real time! We offer a comprehensive music lesson curriculum, that is customized for every student. The lessons are completely virtual, and affordable for any skill level or age group. We stand out because the lessons are not pre-recorded videos. Our lessons are fun, engaging, and personal.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I could have spent more time planning, but although during this pandemic, I wanted to make sure music was out there as “therapy” for people as soon as possible.
