Today we’d like to introduce you to Gili Mor.
Hi Gili, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began working in wholesale diamonds in Dallas in 2012, and after moving to Houston in 2014, I opened my own business.
In 2020, we launched Diamond Exchange Houston with the goal of beating retail prices and offering the public true wholesale pricing. We source our diamonds directly from the cutters, which allows us to keep our costs low while delivering high-quality diamonds at an affordable price.
As our business has grown, we’ve expanded our offerings and now specialize in high-quality, custom-designed engagement rings—at a fraction of the price you’ll find at big-name retail stores.
When you visit our office, the first thing you’ll notice (aside from DD the Pomeranian) is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. We don’t pressure clients or use aggressive sales techniques; instead, we focus on creating a relaxed experience and ensuring every client is 100% satisfied with their purchase.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
During the early weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic, we struggled to bring people into our office. However, beginning in mid-2020 and throughout the years that followed, we received tremendous support from our clients, which allowed us to come out on top while many other businesses were forced to close.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are most proud of our warm, personalized service. Our staff is always attentive and dedicated to ensuring every client has an exceptional experience.
We also specialize in custom-designed engagement rings, creating hundreds of rings each year—each one uniquely crafted to reflect the individual story behind it.
What makes you happy?
Nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients’ proposal photos. Witnessing the joy in their eyes—and knowing I played a small part in that moment—is truly priceless.
