Meet Gina Parchment of Gina Loann in North Loop

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gina Parchment.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Growing up, I always loved fashion but did no know how or where to start. And, I also did not see women looking like me in the fashion industry. So, I pursued a degree in Bilingual Office Administration and worked in that field for many years. But the desire for fashion was always burning inside of me and never left.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were many sleepless nights trying to figure out how to break into the industry and trying to get the business off the ground. It was exhausting at times but the passion for fashion was worth the sacrifice. Oftentimes you have to wear different hats to get things done until you can expand and get the help your business needs.

Gina Parchment is a designer with the innate ability of pairing elegance with fashion; thus making any woman, regardless of size or age, look sophisticated and polished.

At a very young age my eye for style became evident. I spent hours designing clothing for my dolls. As I grew older I began styling clothing for my family and friends as a hobby.

Gina’s increased passion for creating and styling lead her to develop and own her skills in knitting and embroidery transforming her from a stylist to a designer. Her first showcase came as an opportunity to enter a designer challenge competition in 2010 on “Great Day Houston,” a local morning TV show in her hometown of Houston, Texas. Gina won the grand prize. This opened up the door to develop a platform of her designs and GL Designs was born. Years later the platform was expanded and developed into a high-end fashion line known today as Gina Loann.

Gina Loann is unique in the world of fashion for its bespoke vintage-inspired fashion with a modern flair. With the infusion of Gina’s custom-made lace the brand remains always fresh, bold and original. The eclectic pieces of its product line include couture dresses, evening gowns, wedding dresses, tops, skirts and now September 23rd 2019 she’s expanding and introducing the Bisioniis Boots. Slick, effortless style for the modern women of today.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
One of the proudest moment of my career was having the opportunity to showcase a collection of 20 pieces at New York Fashion Week 2019
