Meet Gregory Burzynski of Houston Concierge Medicine and Wellness Center

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gregory Burzynski.

Gregory, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
After completing my medical degree in Poland and my residency in Austin I had the opportunity to travel in the US and abroad to visit numerous clinics worldwide which inspired me with ideas and broadened my approach to clinical care.

For me the vision was to offer quality personalized compassionate care as well as a preventative and integrative approach in order to work with patients to achieve their goals. This further prompted me to complete a two year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at University of Arizona in Tuscon.

I believe that Houston Concierge Medicine & Wellness Center is the result of that vision.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting a medical practice from scratch is never a smooth road. There are always things that have to be tweaked and improved upon. These are the growing pains of a new clinic or for that matter any new business whether it is choosing the proper services to offer patients, finding the right staff, or defining exceptional customer service. Having my wife by my side throughout the process was invaluable.

Houston Concierge Medicine and Wellness Center is a primary care clinic that offers a customized as well as integrative approach to healthcare. I am a board certified internal medicine physician with a fellowship in integrative medicine completed at the University of Arizona Tuscon.

Integrative health and medicine reaffirms the importance of the relationship between practitioner and patient, focuses on the whole person, and makes use of all appropriate therapeutic approaches.

We are most proud of the fact that we take time with our patients and offer a personalized experience in a comfortable setting. What sets us apart is that we have also incorporated counseling into our clinic with exceptional licensed therapists on site. This allows us to achieve the goal of optimal health and healing.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was definitely very inquisitive, somewhat shy and enjoyed helping people. I grew up surrounded by medicine and knew from a young age that would be my path in life.
