Today we’d like to introduce you to Hailey Paul.
Hi Hailey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Here is just a little about ME a MOMMA of two children who decided to start focusing on my own happiness by first leaving an almost nine years relationship out of the blue one day! I was unhappy. I tried to stay for the sake of my children but I just couldn’t do it any longer. I slowly felt myself fading away and losing who I was. I hated myself for months! I started to try and find myself again. The real me. The happy me. But in the back of my mind, I just felt like I wasn’t ever good enough while constantly doubting myself as a mother, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a lover. I was trying to keep everybody happy except me. That’s when I decided to pack me and my children up and move across the country leaving everything, and to start over here in southern Texas. I was going through so much stress, and that entirely changed how I felt about myself. I had stress from work, stress from being our main source of income, financial stress, emotional stress, any stress, you name it, I was going through it.
It’s funny when it rains, it storms and by the end of the storm, I was beat down. I needed to feel beautiful again and love myself first. How could I ever expect anybody to appreciate me if I can’t appreciate myself? Doing a boudoir shoot for myself not only made me realize that I’m much more than just a 25 years old mother and now wife to a loving and supporting husband, but that I am my own kind of beautiful. I don’t need anyone to justify it for me. It made me realize that no one would ever start appreciating me until I started appreciating myself. Now fast forward years later after my own boudoir session with Estell Photography I have begun to realize there is only one of me on this earth and I am the only one capable of doing the job of being myself. Remember to remind yourself that you’re unique in your own way, you know what you can bring to the table and the only validation you need is from yourself. I’ve let people’s assumptions and opinions get to me for too long, and this photo shoot helped me to block all the noise and chaos in my head. I realize that the journey of appreciating yourself is difficult and long but at the end, it’s all worth it. Seeing yourself in the mirror and finally smiling at your reflection is worth it!!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has it been a smooth road, not at all. Every road I have been on has had its own bumps and even some potholes along the way. Just over a year ago, my Facebook was hacked into so I lost all access to my business page, and clients, and even lost hope about the studio I just opened a few weeks before this happened. When my Facebook was hacked into I lost everything my whole business. Having to restart and rebuild a second time around has been a challenge, but I’m slowly climbing my way back to the top.

I’m a professional photographer who specializes in Boudoir Photography. What should you know? You should know Boudoir photography is more than getting naked infant of my camera in fact my client doesn’t have to get naked at all. My clients come into my studio and they bring outfits that make them feel empowered, beautiful, and confident.
