Meet Hannah Wentworth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Wentworth.

Hi Hannah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I originate from the pacific northwest and I have been creating art my whole life. It truly never really mattered what medium or who I was doing it for. I loved it. About 15 years ago, my parents purchased their very first digital camera (insert dramatic music here!) and even as a young adult felt drawn to always being the one documenting and creating things no one else saw. Blend that with the fact I am a huge extravert/people lover and bam! Perfect photographer material. But it wasn’t always that easy; I struggled with confidence in myself and my ability.

I believe this struggle can make or break your journey in finding your calling in life, so I just kept repeating to myself; Keep moving forward. My wonderful husband and I moved to North Houston about four years ago and I began working in branding and commercial photography. I fell in love with building up and working specifically with female own businesses and entrepreneur. I found great satisfaction capturing imagery that not only gave them more confidence in themselves, but also the boost their business needed visually. To say I am doing what I truly love is an understatement and I am so thankful that I get to work with so many incredible people doing so many great things!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road. I have had the wonderful opportunity of moving and traveling this country, but with that comes its challenges. I was not fully educated in how to network, spread the word on social media and create community quickly at a young age. I feel like this was a great challenge that I am still trying to overcome and has limited my ability to create. I am so thankful that I have been able to discover all these things here in Houston and have been able to see my business grow steadily. My business is still a work in progress, but what isn’t!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in working with everyday entrepreneurs and businesses to help them create beautiful content that helps elevate their brand. I am most proud of seeing my work help my client’s business grow. It makes me feel like I am helping make an impact in their lives. I believe what sets me apart is the fact I take time to concentrate on the details, the message and the visual story my clients have. I love building around who they already are in an authentic way and not creating some false perspective of who they are. This allows my clients to feel free to express themselves in a more raw and real way.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something surprising that you might not know about me… Hmm… Well, I would say that I actually love the post-processing/retouching aspect of my work. When I was younger, I used to grab my favorite cup of tea, a huge fuzzy blanket, and my favorite music. I would snuggle up and edit for hours. It is almost therapeutic for me. Some might this that’s crazy. But it is almost as good as reading a good book. Being able to be lost in your own thoughts and your own creative world was and is still a huge escape for me.
