Meet Ibrahim Firat of Firat Education in River Oaks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ibrahim Firat.

In March 2008, as an opportunistic entrepreneur, Ibrahim decided to capitalize on his unique skills, experience, passion for learning, and teaching through his own highly exclusive, individually-catered educational consulting company, Firat Educational Solutions (FES).

Throughout the years, Firat Education has grown and expanded. Ibrahim also wrote The Firat Guide.

The Firat Guide is a tool, first of its kind, to supplement the process that every family goes through when preparing to enter private school (high school, middle school, lower school, and early childhood). The Firat Guide answers those questions that run through every parent and student’s mind: schools, finances, extracurricular activities, and much more.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Our biggest obstacle is convincing parents early enough that college prep is necessary when their child is a sophomore. Parents realize they need services often when it is “too late in the game.” Preparing for college and improving your academic record takes time.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Firat Education provides customized, one-on-one educational consulting (college counseling, tutoring, test preparation, and school placement) services to students of all ages in the Greater Houston area. We can also service clients anywhere in the world online.

What sets us apart is the fact that our services are modified to each individual student based on his or her needs and learning styles, thereby bringing out his or her unique potential.

Our educational solutions are catered to you by a team of academic professionals who have various areas of expertise such as academic coaching, test preparation, high school admissions counseling, and college counseling.

We are extremely proud of helping young minds realize their potential and seeing them succeed years down the line.

What were you like growing up?
Ibrahim was born and raised in Turkey. He was extremely outgoing, confident, and friendly. He was the second son to his parents and loved playing outdoors. Soccer was and still is one of the greatest love of his life. His roots with his family translated to his businesses.

Firat Education is a family business owned by Ibrahim and his wife Josephine. Together, they have a five-year-old son. Education always came first for Ibrahim. It’s a privilege that he is so thankful for.
