Hi Ijeoma, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My path to becoming an event planner started when I contracted an event planning company to help plan my 10th wedding anniversary celebration. Experiencing their creativity, professionalism and passion firsthand wooed and inspired me to pursue event planning business professionally. My heart was full. I became passionate &driven and wanted to learn how to create the same magic creatd from the planner. Week later I registered for online eventplannong courses and an LLC- a limited liability company. Hence Exquisite Events Planning LLC was formed in August 2022. Since then, I and my team of professional have proudly helped bting visions and dreams come true for fifteen highly satisfied clients, making their celebrations even more memorable day.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Event planning is rarely a smooth journey. Event planners typically face numerous challenges that test their skills and resilience. Budget constraints emerge as the most significant hurdle, with planners struggling to deliver high-quality events while managing limited financial resources.
Some of my challenging are:
Second-guessing business decisions
Worrying about financial sustainability
Concerns about time consumption
Fear of professional isolation6
Professional Growth
Despite these challenges, An event planner I view obstacles as opportunities for learning and refinement. The key is developing robust planning processes, maintaining flexibility, and continuously improving organizational skills.
