Iliana, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Starting off as a baker myself, I knew the struggles of finding good quality affordable baking supplies in Houston so I set off to find a solution to that for myself but more importantly my fellow baker friends. We started at a small shop in Traders Village and are currently looking to expand to an additional brick and mortar location. As we were building the first physical location, we started to build our website as well as well as having a trade show presence around Texas.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I can’t complain about the path we’ve been on to building our company. It has been hard but that is just how it is. Between finding the right supplier or the correct location or the trade show that would benefit our followers the most, we are constantly trying to improve our offerings. I am also a baker as well as a supplier so I am able to keep up with the latest trends and methods which benefits our customers as well.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Cake Supply World – what should we know?
We are a cake decorating supply company and we cater to chefs, home bakers, and everything in between. We are most proud of being able to supply Houston with affordable baking supplies and outstanding customer service. We are constantly evolving and setting ourselves apart by providing services no other supply companies provide from online services to tutoring for beginners.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
We feel customers our the most important factor. We are not only the suppliers of the bakers and makers but most importantly their friends first and foremost.
