Today we’d like to introduce you to Imanii Monroe.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve had the ability to rap since I was in the 6th grade, freestyling was all I knew. The first time I Picked up a pen and a pad and actually wrote something was Aug. 2, 2018 when I did the Dawg Ass Challenge. The video got an amazing response and the people were demanding more. Once I realized how much my fans desired my craft I decided that I would certify my self as a rapper. From that day on I’ve been applying PRESSURE at levels RARELY seen by females. This is my first year in the game and in this last year I’ve toured ATLANTA, DALLAS and MISSISSIPPI. Working and grinding so persistent and consistently that throughout my short journey I’ve gained over 10,000 followers. The streets call me Mrs. Hard On A H** and I Stand on it. I’m here to conquer all obstacles and put the city on the map THE STIFF WAY.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
When I came in, I came straight in with no plan and no budget. Just the hunger to work and grind for my spot. At times it’s a struggle not being able to just flood my fans with the content they hungry for, but the work doesn’t stop. I’m a grinding with all that I got and the feel me.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a female emcee with a male mentality. We have tons of great female rappers in the industry but non bringing the swag and bars in coming with. PRETTY FACE WITH BARS 2 KILL!!
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished and how far I’ve come. No team no sponsor, just pure hunger.
