Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaias Silvas.
Isaias, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always wanted to be a fashion designer & start my own clothing line since high school. I’ve always had a different sense of fashion that caught the eye. I would wear wild colors that people wouldn’t usually put together. It matched yet seemed a little off. Something “Throwed “.I would get a lot of compliments out of the way I dressed & felt like I had a lot of ideas when it came to designing clothes. Only problem was I didn’t have the funds at the time. 15 years later, I had positioned myself to where I was more financially stable. One day I started buying equipment, educating myself & doing my DBA. My first shirt design I came up with got a lot of support from friends & family. Through hard work & perseverance I was able to meet more people & gain more support to the brand. I’m very grateful for the love & support this city has shown me. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without the love from the locals.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There’s a lot of potholes on the road of entrepreneurship but I thank God for placing the right people in my path. Somedays are rough but I really appreciate good friends & family members that want to see you do well & are willing to help. Even more so when people you don’t know hit you up with words of encouragement. To me that’s the best. Shows you’re doing something, someone’s watching & it’s making a difference. To me those are the ones that are filling in the potholes & definitely making the road smoother.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
One of my favorite memories from childhood was when we used to go to my grandma’s house in Spain. She used to live next door to an outdoor movie theater and we used to watch free movies up on the rooftop & head to the beach almost everyday.
