Meet J.O. Malone of National Black Film Festival in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to J.O. Malone. Him and his team share his story with us below.

Houstonian and American film producer have established himself as a game changer in the independent film industry. A graduate of Prairie View A&M University, Malone created his film company entitled, “J.O. Malone Studios. Malone produces his films under the J.O. Malone Studios banner.

In 2016 Malone founded the National Black Film Festival with an initiative to build an enlightening platform for future filmmakers and actors. Another primary goal of the NBFF is to stimulate the production of more high-quality films in the Houston, Texas metropolitan area-mapping the city as a major cinematic outlet.

Malone is a dynamic and inspiring speaker who delivers educational and motivational speeches to film industry groups, colleges, and universities, as well as youth and community organizations nationwide.

Malone resides in Houston with his wife Riesse and their son J.O. Malone Jr.
