Today we’d like to introduce you to Jack Oddo.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started the business when I was 21 years old. I took note that the roofing industry was flooded with thousands of contractors. I wanted Rock n’ Rod Roofing & Restoration to mean more than just a business. To combat this, I wanted to create a brotherhood where we can all learn from each other. I want to be able to teach men various skills and in turn, have them teach each other. While we are a roofing company, we also fabricate classic cars and rat rods. We have multiple cars in the club fleet, we have two rat rods, an ’86 camper van, and a hearse that we’re currently working on. Our show stopper is our 1937 twin turbo Chevy pick up truck, Thumper. We utilize the fleet to spread awareness in the community by presenting them in the local neighborhoods at each of our roof builds. This has had the fantastic result of not only putting us above a flooded industry while also making us as a group, as brothers, THE unstoppable force in the Greater Houston Area Market. With single-minded determination, our vision has and will continue to form us into the Rock Star Roofers our customers are drawn to on all facets of our industry.
Has it been a smooth road?
Being in the roofing industry comes with its fair share of challenges that our Company from its inception has been armored up to combat against. These days, If you can file an insurance claim and get on a roof; suddenly you’re a roofer. Texas has a ton of these guys running the streets, offering to pay for the consumer’s deductible. Putting the consumer at risk, in a gamble to profit from a practice that is immoral and illegal. We from the inception of Rock n Rod Roofing have prepared to battle this by being upfront and transparent about our methods in full view of the Community. Our main weapon going forward is a focused based plan utilizing our community presence, strength of conviction and top of the line Certainteed Products. We are organized and geared up to fully dominate these fly by night “roofers”. Rock n Rod views these challengers as individual obstacles, with our strategies properly executed these obstacles will change into a stairway to our Rock n Roll Roofing dominance of our market place.

O & S Construction & Weatherproofing is a company I started when I was 21 years old, O & S is my Commercial roofing business and solid foundation. Using this as a base, Rock n’ Rod Roofing was envisioned as a residential adaptation to the changes in our industry and the business marketing renaissance of social media.
