Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Williams.
Hi Jamie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hello, I am Jamie Willians Owner of D’Vine Hair and Body by JW LLC and JW Styles hair salon. I’ve always had an interest in hair care even as a little girl I started doing hair in my mother’s kitchen at the early age of 12.
Growing up in Missouri City Texas I would practice with friends and family.
Shortly after graduating high school I decided to develop my skills and go on to Cosmetology School, I attended Visible Changes University in Houston, Texas and within nine months I was a certified cosmetologist.
I continued my career through the years also becoming a wife and a mother I also continued my education by studying as a cosmetology instructor.
After working at several different salons I stepped out on faith and decided to open my private salon suite JW Styles where I specialize in healthy hair care. Being in the haircare industry for over 20 years I saw a need for products that aren’t chemically based, this prompted me to create an all-natural hair and skincare line D’Vine Hair and Body by JW.
I wanted to create a positive imprint on hair and skincare in a natural way while celebrating melanated beauty by using nature as a conduit.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve always told myself that hard work pays off, in that statement two words stand out Hard and Work. The hair care industry has always been a hustle, having a steady clientele, learning the latest styles having the best products, and even location.
As a New Product line-owner, I’ve learned that structure is key and staying one step ahead of the rest, You have to be ready for the ups and downs, there were times when my clientele was low and product productivity was at a standstill. I had to rebrand and enhance my online presence this gave me the ability to move forward. Enduring these obstacles I learned key knowledge on how to adapt and overcome different setbacks.

D’Vine Hair and Body By JW is an all-natural hair and skin product line. We strive for excellence by creating the most enriching and nourishing products. Our products are made with all-natural ingredients, our hair care line constant of Hair Growth Serum and Dry Scalp Elixer
our skincare line constant of all natural Body Scrub, Bath Salts, Body Pudding, and Body Oils. D’Vine products are all handcrafted. and locally made.
At D’Vine we help to create a positive imprint on our environment in a natural way.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
During this journey, I’ve learned to persevere even in fatigue and failure. Failure is not a stopping point it’s a time to regroup reevaluate and resurface stronger wiser and better than before sometimes it may take a couple of failures to achieve certain goals but in that, it was perseverance for me and resilience that kept me going.
