Today we’d like to introduce you to Janine Cascio.
Hi Janine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I am from New York- I started as a loan officer for a bank in NYC. Last year I took the risk of starting my own company. This August will be our 1 year- however, since starting, I now have an assistant and 5 loan officers. I truly believe in trusting yourself and taking away limitations- you can achieve whatever it is you set out to.
I want to be America’s number 1 trusted private lender for nationwide investment properties. I am a 30-year-old female within this industry that is extremely male-heavy. I have created a home where women feel safe and open to explore having a job in finance. I create an atmosphere that is open to all-, and I want to change the persona of your typical finance advisor.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The main struggles I have faced is on a personal level. Once I truly believed, walked, talked the role of a CEO of a finance company- then I realized that this truly is happening. It is scary to take the risk on onboarding and scaling. But here we are now, not even a year in, with 6 employees. I plan to have 25 by this time of next year.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I enjoyed sports and loved being a leader on and off the field. I studied at Philadelphia University and played soccer, where I was a team captain. I have a big Italian family, so I was use to have to talk over people and make a way to be heard in situations.
