Today we’d like to introduce you to Jareth Guerra.
Jareth, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Brad Conner is currently known as one of the most talented Realism Artists in Central Texas. He has worked under many great artists and shops to get to where he is today, tattooing for more than 10 years. With all of the help and encouragement of his friends, family, and coworkers, he branched out on his own and opened up his first Tattoo Studio in Waco. He established his client base in 2015 with the help of his wife Lacie Conner, a supporting tattoo artist and shop piercer.
Soon joined by some previous colleagues, the studio’s business soon grew to be one of the best shops in Waco. Currently, Texas Dermagraphics is the best-rated shop according to Google and Facebook reviews, award-winning by “Locals Love Us”, and a regular contributor back into their community. With such a great reputation and solid brand, investors Jareth Guerra and business partner Alex Denicoff wanted to take the stresses of business and finance off the shoulders of these amazing artists and let them focus on taking care of their clients every need.
In 2017, the artists have been putting in overtime six days a week to be able to accept walk-ins on top of their booked appointments to keep an open atmosphere to the public with little to no wait times. Recently hosting an adoption event with the Humane Society of Central Texas and breaking the single day onsite adoption record for most animals adopted. For every tattoo done on the day of adoptions, ten dollars was donated to the human society, with a total donation of over $1,000. The shop is currently staffed with two more amazing artists Crash Zibreg and Cheyenne Schroeder.
Has it been a smooth road?
As with every startup business, there were definitely some obstacles in our way. We aren’t much for competition, and established businesses never like the new guy on the block: we keep our heads forward and strive to focus primarily on a clean, sterile environment to protect our clientele from improper practice, and providing a unique service to the wide variety of clients and their requests. With all the support we have had from loyal customers, family, and friends, there was no way we wouldn’t succeed in our goals.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Our company is small, but family and friend managed and owned. We are a big family, and when our clients come in for the first or hundredth time, they know they will be treated as one of our own. We have been told many occasions that we aren’t like other tattoo studio’s in a sense that we are so accommodating, welcoming and friendly.
Our pricing differs from our competitors as we respect our client’s financial situation and ensure they get the best bang for their buck. What makes us most proud of our company is the amazing feedback we hear from so many amazing people who trust and choose us for our services. It’s a great feeling.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Waco is a growing market for all types of businesses. We have personally been apart of this community for more than 30 years. I think everyone would benefit from the small/big community that always pulls together to help a neighbor in need.
