Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Stewart.
Jasmine, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My dream to become a pastry chef all started in high school when I was in culinary class, cooking wasn’t my thing but when it came to baking it just felt natural. Culinary school was the plan after high school but that didn’t quit happen like that. I got pregnant with my son and was out on maternity leave for half of my pregnancy. Maternity leave equals NO MONEY so I had to create everything for my baby shower by myself because I had no way to pay anyone to do it. I started watching YouTube on how to make t-shirts, got all the material I needed and started my 1st business Jas.T-shirtdesign. I created shirts for about a year and decided to get into custom party treats. Changed my name to Jas.Tshirts and designs lol. Few months later, I came across a stuffed apple on youtube. The coolest thing ever I said I definitely have to try it out. Now I focus more on the treats which I love so much !! It’s crazy how you always end up back to the place that truly makes you happen after doing things just to do them.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth road? If it was easy that mean I didn’t work hard to get where I am. I watched many videos, took many classes, paid for mentors and all to get where I’m today!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Jazzy Party Creations story. Tell us more about the business.
Jazzy Party Creations turn your ordinary candy/fruit into something oh so sweet! We started off with just stuffed apples. Our two flavors where strawberry cheesecake and banana pudding. Now we have a variety of treats you can pick from like dipped or stuffed strawberries, candy grapes, or our O’Waffle sundae. I follow a lot of people that do the same thing as me have the same top flavor strawberry cheesecake. However, I feel we are different because we use real cheesecake or we top our strawberries with a variety of candy instead of just glitter or plain chocolate. Try our strawberry cheesecake stuffed apple or our cake strawberries and I guarantee you would want to come live the “sweet life” everyday!
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I wouldn’t say it’s good luck but more of a blessing. I’ve gotten into an accountability group with a bunch of ladies who’s in the Judy Mentorship program. We call our selfs “The B8’s”(the billionaire 8” and every morning they pray. I mean I prayed before the group but not how I been doing since I been connected to these ladies. It seems like everything I dreamed and ask for for my business is all starting too fall into place because I became more closer to god! Like Judy say “pray through the process”. God is my good luck!
