I grew up in a small town in Mississippi. Joined the US Navy after high school. After my 4 years of services, I worked various IT jobs. I had the opportunity to move to Houston in 2006 and that is when I decided to start my own business. I had no friends or family when I moved here, but powered through. I have grown the business over the past 11 years to one of the fastest growing technology companies in Houston.
Has it been a smooth road?
I don’t think any business has a smooth road. We have experienced ups and downs with staff turnover, client loss but at the end of the day, I look at it all as a learning opportunity. We frequently have meetings and do “lessons learned” when a client leaves or an employee leaves. Try not to make the same mistake twice if the situation was avoidable.

I feel that Houston is a great place to start a business. There is a ton of opportunity out there but also a ton of competition. If you aren’t afraid of a little competition, then this is a great city to start a business.
