Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeannie Fennell.
Jeannie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Goodnight Babies was started in the year 2009. I was working on my own when my clients keep encouraging me to start a business. They called me the baby whisper. I thought and prayed about it not really wanting to take on this journey. I have always helped people and this was a way to help women by exposing them to the world of Infant Care. I chose the name Goodnight Babies because it describes our services.
We specialize in sleep training and schedule. It has been hard to keep a good team but we are on the rise. I have never advertised. It has been word of mouth for the 20years I have been taking care of babies. We are a mom and pop business that goes far and beyond to give each family a foundation that fits their lifestyle. I love Babies this is my gift!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it has not been smooth. My main challenges were finding staff that shared the same passion I do for babies. Also, clients that take your staff.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Goodnight Babies story. Tell us more about the business.
We go into the homes of parents to help with newborns. We help with lactation, scheduling, and sleep training. We offer input on equipment that is useful. We specialize in multiple births. I am so proud We I get a call from a potential client they always say your team comes highly recommended.
We also travel with clients and to clients in other cities and states. What sets us apart from others is we are personable and available to ask questions
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I am not one who base my life and business on luck. This was destiny for me. This is the road my God has placed me on. I had wanted to give up three years ago but I thought about the ladies on my team that depends on me to keep a job I couldn’t let them down. I tighten my belt and stayed focused
