Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeffron Smalls.
Hi Jeffron, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Jeffron Smalls, and I am an entrepreneur and tech professional. I was born and raised in Georgetown, South Carolina. I started my professional career with Microsoft in Seattle, Washington after graduating from North Carolina A&T State University with a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering in May 2017.
In 2019, during my second year at Microsoft, I launched my lifestyle brand, JQ Lifestyle. My brand’s objective is to connect professionals through curated event experiences, partnerships, and philanthropy.
I have mastered leveraging my corporate career to help fund my entrepreneurial business, which gave me the courage to take risks and fail fast while strategically planning my long-term vision for my brand.
My vision all started from the realization that there weren’t many people that looked like me in the tech industry. I also realized that I was afforded experiences and exposure early in my career that others were not and my desire was to inspire others to do the same.
For as long as I could remember, I was always a creative with an entrepreneurial mindset and always loved to solve problems. Over the past several years, I used my passions to build a strong network and community of like-minded, professionals. I wanted to consistently create a space where people feel included and valued, and also feel that they are investing into something bigger than themselves. Although, I enjoy working in tech while learning and growing as an entrepreneur, building my own legacy has always been very important to me.
My goal is to make life more enjoyable for others by creating opportunities to bring people together. Whether I am hosting a networking event or launching a new merchandise collection, I always challenge myself to keep my customer’s needs first and consistently create original ideas to keep them engaged.
My latest merchandise launch was May of this year, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I created a brand campaign titled “Don’t Over Think It, Just Vibe.” This slogan is catchy yet relatable, and most importantly there is a thought-provoking message tied to it. Always prioritize your mental health, especially with so many traumatizing events occurring in the world.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I’ve faced many challenges in entrepreneurship over the years. I took many losses and rejection that turned out to be great lessons leading to better opportunities. My biggest piece of advice would be, it doesn’t have to be perfect, just start. You never know what’s on the other side of your comfort zone.

I’m known for creating authentic experiences. My services are hosting events, partnerships, and speaking engagements.
I also have branded merchandise that I offer on my website. I launch limited collections every Fall and Spring/Summer.
What are your plans for the future?
I’m excited about the future and to grow year over year. I have partnerships lined up and events planned for the next half of 2022 that I’m looking forward to.
