Hi Jennifer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my journey! I started my real estate journey where I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. After a few years doing what I love here, I had decided on a change of scenery, and I followed my heart to Austin, Texas. My transition to doing what I love the most had been a bit challenging since I took on a new city, however, I am ever so grateful for the opportunity presented to me with Compass Austin, spearheaded by the incredible Carol Delgado as my sales manager, under the Bodman Group, which is the #7 team in the state with Compass Real Estate. I picked up doing what I love the most again, helping people find their perfect home and their dream space. While spending so much time between Houston and Austin, I have had the pleasure of serving many relocation clients from Los Angeles as well as helping them find often their second or third home to have to come home to in Houston or Austin for their creative pursuits as well as sending them to a trusted referral partner on the West Coast, whether you’re moving to DLTA or Beverly Hills, I have someone that would love to help! I may be in pursuit of a California Real Estate license after having the joy of being able to help so many people from this beautiful city!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think a notion of a smooth road is almost the same as the saying “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder” when it comes to a role that is entrepreneurial. It’s not so much about what the responsibilities of a real estate agent, it’s about what it takes to become a person that can really succeed in the role. One becomes their own marketing person, admin person, public relations person, HR, the list goes on! You could outsource everything but, where is the fun in that? I think the largest struggle for me was to be able to break free of that “model real estate agent” role that everyone pictures, which is just always busy closing deals on the exterior. While yes, you are doing that, there was a place where I needed to let myself be seen doing what I love most, and being able to be my true self. While I have no problem doing that in person, I was rather shy about doing that on social media. However, once I was able to break the fourth wall and letting people see the person that’s not just really good at helping people find their dream space, I let them see a bit of myself. which is the trusted real estate advisor in an that is really impeccably good at finding what you need, negotiating the price of what you want and what comes with it, from ensuring that you have all of the data you need in order to make educated decisions not just as we go along, but what it takes for the years to come regarding your investment.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a real estate agent, I assist my clients in buying, selling, leasing, and investing in real estate. I pride myself in service to each client and helping them achieve their unique real estate goals. I excel in negotiation, ensuring that my clients receive the best possible outcomes. I am also rather adept at marketing, utilizing my expertise to showcase properties in the best light through storytelling around them. My social media has hit over a million views on multiple occasions for my real estate business for this reason. I also do my best to maintain a meticulous timeline for each client, ensuring that every step of the process is handled efficiently. My clear and effective communication skills further enhance my ability to guide my clients smoothly through their real estate journey. I am most proud of having been able to help so many people in their unique journey. What sets me apart from others in my industry is my true commitment to going the extra mile for my clients, I do my best to get the job done. So far, I am most proud of being an agent that takes on a true personalized approach to every single person I meet. I really care about everything you tell me because my work is not light, people trust me to guide them to the place they’re calling home from anywhere from a year to ten years, with the right support and guidance, you’re going to be really happy there for a really long time. Not just because it’s your dream space but also because it’s right by Whole Foods and you told me that you only shop there, or it’s also by Zilker Park or Memorial Park and every morning, you run 5 miles because you told me it’s a part of your wellness regimen, or because it’s by your friends and your favorite places to dine, because you told me that you thrive in community. Your joy is the most important thing to me and that begins in a home where you’re happy and proud of waking up in every day. That’s ultimately what sets me apart as a real estate agent. It’s not just about the glimmer in your eye when you see a place you love but also about the things you told me you needed for this part of your journey. If I’m able to help you find a place where you get both, I am happiest and I am so happy and grateful that I get to be of service to others in this manner.
What’s next?
My plans for the future so far are to find more people I am in genuine alignment with all across the United States so that my referral network is bigger. I find that I specialize a lot in the double height, industrial loft kind of space in my cities and want to commit to helping others find what they need, wherever they need to be. I am always looking forward to aligned spaces!
