Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Cazares.
Jenny, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I currently work for a Bank as a Banker/Business Developer and have always been in banking and more because I know the skill and because of the feel of security of a job. But a few years ago, I seen a friend who was becoming very successful in microblading and I decided to not only do my eyebrows with her but also took her training to get certified as a Microblading Artist. Taking that step also allowed me to explore my options in looking into other services to add. So, I took a class for lashes to become certified and shortly after enrolled in school for my cosmetology licenses to give me more of an expand in services. My training will never stop there. And all this was done with a full-time job and two wonderful kids and a supportive husband. So I was a very busy bee juggling all roles being a student, employee, boxers mom, and wife.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To say it was a walk in the park is far from it! I had so many sacrifices to make and its not over yet. And I don’t think it gets easier but, I’m a fighter and will work hard to overcome whatever may come my way. I had came to a point in life that I thought because business wasn’t picking up, I thought to myself that I had made a bad investment. But I didn’t let that stop me I continues to push my business with teaming up with other amazing small business women to do giveaways and specials so people can know me and my work.
Having to put my self out there and out of my comfort zone with bring up my business in almost every conversation with people I just met was at first hard. But stepping out of that shyness allowed me to meet new people and network. Which has helped and business has surly picked up. My goal now is to quit my full-time job and let it go to finally do what I truly love. So, I am building my cliental and adding more services to be a one stop shop.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Jenny J. Beauty Studio – what should we know?
I specialize in Eyebrow Microblading, Lashes and Facials. The Service I provide in Microblading is a service of semi-permanent pigment that mimics the look of hair strokes to give a full and fluffy brow, so the goal there is to have a natural full shaped brow to match your face structure. Also provide eyelash extension service which I provide different styles as to classic, hybrid or volume lashes, each one is a style of the number amount of lashes added to your natural lash. So whether you want a subtle look or a bold lash look it’s your choice. And the facials I provide are based on skin types and are all custom to each base on there needs. My go to facial I provide has to be the Microbermabrasion facial which is a hand held diamond tip wand that glides over the skin w/ a vacuum action to exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin and unclog the pores. I’m proud to say that my services are expanding and will have new services coming soon. All I want is people to feel amazing and enhance there beauty.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Never stop learning and never stop working hard! Continue training and learning to expand my mind in different techniques. I’ve had to proof to not only myself but to the world that I can make it and that I will not allow my self to fail because even when I fail it’s not really failing, it’s a learning experience to learn from and to make sure I don’t end up back there. Nothing was ever given to me so all is done with hard work, sweat and some tears. But I will not let nothing stop me from chasing my dreams.
