Thanks for sharing your story with us Jessica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
As a mother of two precious girls, having a date night or attending a social gathering is almost impossible. Being a teacher by day, I began to ponder, if this is an issue for me, I know others must be experiencing something similar. My teacher wheels began to turn in my head. How could I remedy this issue?
While speaking with my husband, I arrived at the idea, if there is an issue I will be the solver. I looked deeply into my skill set and noticed I had the answer the entire time. I love children, and on a daily basis through instruction, I entertain them in a way that they forget that they are learning! I took what I knew and loved to do and Wonderland Event Childcare was born.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being a mother, teacher and entrepreneur has oddly been a smooth transition. I find myself so excited about the new concepts and ideas to grow my business, and the idea that I am on a path to making a difference for parents across the great state of Texas outweighs the mental exhaustion.
With this new concept of revolutionizing on-site care, getting the word out, and making people aware that this service not only exists but is available to everyone can be challenging at times.

We are able to set up with little to no fuss. You provide the space, we provide the fun! We are equipped to allow you to enjoy your event without worry as we entertain the kids with hands-on activities. Wonderland Event Childcare provides a fun-filled atmosphere for infants, kids, and teens so that parents may enjoy any event without worry. Our event childcare providers promise an unforgettable experience that will keep children entertained for hours.
As a teacher is only right to invite teachers to join as staffers. This makes us unique in the way that our arts and crafts are learning-centered. Just as we are trained to engage our students, we take the same concept and plan interactive learning activities for our ” WonderKids.”
As an owner, I am most proud to see the smile on parent’s faces when they recognized that they have the ability to mingle with other adults without the worry of if their little one is okay. We know it is a great night when no child wants to leave our on-site sitter care area.

During this process of concept to reality, there have been so many people cheering me on. The first response is, you are really on to something, keep going, keep pushing! My husband, Darrell has played a major role in helping to take this idea to the next level. He is my first responder. He is my right hand, my go with all things Wonderland!
