Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Baker.
Jessica, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Aligned Signs is about self-discovery, self-reflection, and self-awareness, and this perfectly captured what was going on in my life. I had recently quit my previous job, filed for divorced, and decided to make a fresh start and move across the country. I was in search of peace, which I didn’t feel I had, despite the tremendous amount of time, energy, and effort I had expended. I realized that the common denominator was me, and if I wanted things to be different, then I needed to change them. I searched for guidance and that’s when I came across everything from ancient wisdom to modern psychology.
I really felt that the three identifiers, western astrology, Chinese zodiac, and the Myers-Briggs® were tools that really set the stage for the beginning of my self-exploration journey that lead me to where I am today. Excited about what I discovered, I wanted to share it, and that is when Aligned Signs was born. It’s all about building quality relationships, creating positive experiences, and finding inner fulfillment that across all aspects of one’s life.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I think building a business from scratch never is, however, what makes it better and smoother is having the right people alongside and trusting your instinct. There were many struggles, everything from building the software to marketing, but staying nimble and open to new ideas is what seems to help make the transitions easier.

Aligned Signs is the only patented self-discovery and relationship tool of its kind. I developed a platform that uses astrology and personality tools to offer an online relationship service focused on making connections and building meaningful relationships. I have dedicated my life to help others in their personal journeys of self-discovery, bringing my own experience and how I overcome the difficulties I faced. Aligned Signs provides you the tools to connect with others at a deeper and more meaningful level. What were you like growing up?
I think I was more of a chameleon, changing to fit in. We moved a lot, almost every 1-2 years, so I was constantly trying to understand the different people, culture, and way of the world. At first, I didn’t like moving all the time, then I came to realize there were positives to it. I gained new experiences, an open mind, and an appreciation for varied perspectives. As such, I was able to freely feel what it was like to be a cheerleader one year, then be into the goth lifestyle the next, without judgement or question. It was fun and helped me figure out what I liked, didn’t like, and become comfortable in my own skin.
If you had to start over, what would you have done differently?
I would have done many things differently, but that is only because I have the experience and hindsight to guide me now. I have no regrets though, only lessons learned. I feel I made the best decisions I could give the information I had at the time.
With that said, it would have expedited things a bit more if I had done more research on the website developers and lawyers I chose to initially aid me in my quest. I would have also partnered with great minds early on so that it wasn’t such a big task to take on by myself.
