Meet Jessica Fauver of Warrior Jessica aka warrior_jessica_slashes_fat in Spring

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Fauver.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jessica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a nurse in the Houston area and I also have a small business/hobby called Favor Wreaths. In my free time, I enjoy creating Wreaths. Lately, I have been focusing on my Health and Fitness. On January 5th, 2019 I started my weight loss journey once again. I have struggled with my weight majority of my life. I have tried countless of times to lose weight. I was in constant pain due to my weight. I had severe back pain, neck and shoulder pain even though I was in constant pain I still enjoyed life and served faithfully at my church. For the last eight years, I have served in Kidslife at Lakewood Church. I struggled just walking from the parking garage into the church. Any daily living activity was painful to do. I felt hopeless and lost and was ready to give up. On January 5th, I decided to sign up for a DietBet that I was inspired by another weight loss Instagram influencer. I weighed in at 354 pounds which is the highest weight I ever weighed. That was all I needed to see. Instantly I took Before pictures to hold myself accountable. I joined a gym that was in my area right away called Spring Fitbody Bootcamp. Once I meet the team, I felt encouraged and inspired. We had a New Year New You Challenge that caught my attention. I thought why not try and see if a challenge would work for me. To my surprise, it did.

I started eating healthy and focused on a lifestyle change rather than a diet. I did low carb, low fat and high protein. I started working out doing Bootcamp which is a group exercise class led by a trainer/coach. I do anywhere from 30-60 minutes 5-6 times a week. I found what worked for me and I stuck with it. In two months, I had lost 44 pounds. About four months into my journey, I started Intermittent Fasting which worked miracles for me. In a little over five months, I had lost 100 pounds. In the beginning, I started sharing my journey on Instagram. My goal was to inspire one person now, I am inspiring thousands of woman and men. Sharing my journey has help hold me extra accountable and all the support has helped a lot from my followers. Fast forward into my journey, I am 178 pounds down all naturally. I have been able to help others start there weight loss journey by hosting DietBets and many woman reach out to me for tips on Instagram and Facebook. I feel honored to help others that it has me inspired to start coaching and training in the near future. I want to be able to help others with weight loss and with living there best life. My goal is to get NASM certified as a Nutrition/Weight Loss Coach and Personal Trainer this year so I can put my knowledge into starting my own business to help others. There many people who can relate to my story and my weight. I understand where they are and coming from. In 2019, I was featured in Houston Local News ABC13 for Astros Fan who lost 150 pounds and I had the honor to share my testimony at Lakewood Church. I’m so excited for others to hear my story and be inspired so they know that there is hope when all feels hopeless ad that the impossible is possible.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have a great support system at my gym. They have helped encouraged me and have challenged me. As I found out challenges worked for me. So I was challenged by the owner Keith Golden Holden not to have a cheat meal till I got to 220 pounds so I worked so hard to get there and in August he took me out for my first cheat meal. Then we set another goal to get to half of my starting weight which is 177 pounds and I recently just did that. So focusing on small goals helps because they are easier to reach and once I did. I set new goals 20-40 pounds at a time. I changed my mindset and my relationship with food. I learned what worked for my body and what didn’t.

Warrior Jessica aka warrior_jessica_slashes_fat – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
As of now, my story as a weight loss influencer. In the future, my goal this year is to get certified as a Personal Trainer and a Coach threw NASM so I can help others by coaching and training others. If I can reach one person then I know I can help many others. I have always been a hard worker and this past year in 2019, I became so determined to make this happen. I am a nurse who works 48 hours a week and I still made it a priority to focus on my health. I want others to know that it can be done, especially if I can do it.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Just being able to inspire and give hope to others. Every time I get a message or comment from my followers thanking me for sharing my journey and how much it has helped them has been the proudest moment.
