Hi Jessica , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always been fascinated by skin care and aesthetics. My curiosity has taken me everywhere, to see the wood therapy techniques of latin America, to the high tech clinics in Seoul and even through the spa retreats of Bali. My travels have allowed me to collect techniques, treatments and beauty secrets from all around the world. I met Ana, a body contouring expert with years of experience in sculpting, shaping, and transformative body treatments. While our specialties were different, our passion was identical. Both of us strived to help people feel confident in their own skin. That shared spark and interest eventually evolved into a vision. Together, we created a place where science, artistry and self care meet. What began as two women from total different backgrounds blossomed into Esencia Beauty and Wellness Spa, a sanctuary for transformation, confidence and modern beauty.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
While it has been a fairly smooth road, there were some challenges that many would also face when opening a new med spa. Finding the right products and machines that are high-quality, safe, but also within budget, was difficult and overwhelming. Building and developing treatment plans that are versatile but effective and balancing them with plans that are tailored to diverse client needs adds another layer of challenge. On top of that, attracting qualified staff and standing out in a competitive market can definitely feel daunting; however,
despite these hurdles, careful planning, smart investments, and consistent training has helped streamline operations. As the spa continues to gain loyal clients, refine its services, and build a strong reputation, these early struggles transform into a foundation for long-term success and a thriving business.
