Meet Jessica Robinson of Miss Robinson Fashion House in Rice Village

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Robinson.

Jessica Robinson, a Houston native, has spent the past seven years living in New York City where she started her modeling career while studying Public Relations at NYU. Additionally, she studied Trend Forecasting at Parsons in Paris. Jessica leveraged her education, passion for style and fashion and experiences from traveling and opened a fashion showroom in the Garment District of New York City. Jessica’s business aided in developing emerging and international designers through Public Relations and Brand Awareness and she was able to successfully promote client’s designs and business by landing red carpet and television appearances as well as magazine and editorial placement. Jessica recently moved back to her hometown of Houston and recently opened a women’s Fashion House in Rice Village. Miss Robinson Fashion House will not only be home to hand-selected, carefully curated ready-to-wear fashion but will also provide an experience for clients including in-house photoshoots, collaborations and fashion shows.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting a business from the ground up comes with a lot of stress but it keeps you on your toes. I learned a lot in New York and the city thickened my skin taught me to be fierce and confident in anything I do. There are days where I would question myself and what I was doing but the rewarding moments are always worth the rocky road. Feeling great after a show, a photoshoot and seeing my dream business come to life keeps me going and reminds me that it is worth it.

Please tell us about Miss Robinson Fashion House.
Miss Robinson Fashion House encompasses more than just a normal boutique. Fashion involves so much more than just the clothing, so I really wanted to incorporate all aspects – hair and makeup, photography, runway and of course the product! My store is some-stop shop where clients can be styled, have hair and makeup available and have the ability for in-house photoshoots. I wanted to make sure that Miss Robinson Fashion House is a destination and clients can leave feeling confident and completely ready for their venture. We also host seasonal fashion shows and events to showcase the latest product and trends that are available to shop immediately.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
You never can go absolutely 100 percent ready. Mishaps always flares up. I Learned from everything I went through and I wouldn’t have done anything differently.
