Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Wright.
Jessica, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve been a massage therapist for 10+ years. Since I was a child, I always knew I didn’t like to be told what to do. I always played a leadership role in just about everything I did. In October of 2018, I decided to start my business and going full force into entrepreneurship.
I decided to become a mobile therapist because a lot of the reasons client would give me as to why they wouldn’t get regular massages was because they didn’t have time. So what better way to work a massage into a busy schedule than for me to bring my services to them, wherever they are.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It is not easy, It’s a struggle to maintain a consistent growing clientele. I do get most of my clients through referrals, but I also participate in events. It can get discouraging because this is the only way I make an income. Some weeks I have more clients than I know what to do with, other weeks I’m struggling to get one person in.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Majestic Therapy Spa and Mobile – what should we know?
Majestic Therapy Spa and Mobile is a mobile massage service that caters to fit into your schedule, from housewives and stay at home moms to CEOs and Professional Athlete. We provide massage services anywhere you are, at home, in office, at the gym, parties, etc. We provide everything you would get in a spa, professional massage table, sheets, massage oils, music, aroma, heating pads, hot/cold therapies, scrubs, and somebody treatments. We specialize in customizing each massage to tailor your needs. My personal favorite is therapeutic and athletic performance sports massage.
As a company, I am most proud of creating a relationship with my clients. It’s not about just being called to do a service and leaving, we actually care about our clients and their day to day lives. Checking in on them, asking about their families, seeing the growth of new editions to their families, listening to them about their stressful jobs, providing homework and knowledge on things do to in between massages, it becomes more like a community of friends and family then the average client/therapist relationship. I believe this sets us apart from everyone else because we take the time to listen, get to know, and create a bond with people that is pure and organic.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Well, first and foremost all the Glory goes to God. Without Him nothing is possible. My biggest inspiration and mentor had to be my grandmother. She was the one who sparked my interest in massage. When I was about 9 or 10, I can remember her performing what I still to this day believe was a miracle. A man had been in a really bad car accident and he came to her house. Barely able to walk he had a walker or some type of assistance. After my grandma took him into her room and massaged him, that man came walking out of her room with no assistance. At that time, I knew I wanted to have that same effect on people.
My husband and son are huge supporters. If it wasn’t for my husband believing in me and supporting our family like he does my dreams would not be possible. My son is my biggest cheerleader. He motivates me everyday and reminds me of my why. I would also say that I surround myself with a group of people who motivate me just by seeing their hustle and grind. My best friend Sherrie is such an inspiration to me. She always speaks life into me and pours into my spirit. I have one client who believes in me so much she sends referrals my way all the time. She is constantly sharing my content on social media and building me up.
