Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesus Cisneros.
Jesus, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was a welder for many years working 12 hours a day 7 day a week. My father had a boot shop where he made amazing leather work on boots. I used to never have time to do anything. One day they cut our hours at the plants and I ended up having time to make a new product never made at my father’s shop. I remember looking at other welders with custom simple pieces on their hoods and I thought ” I can make this better” so me and my dad made our first prototype and I took it with me to work and from then on, business started coming in. Working all day and staying awake all night making these custom leather pieces for hoods. I worked out of my dad’s shop and as business grew, I opened an online store and it grew more and so did our work space. It is crazy how I started so small and created something beneficial and great for welders.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Trying to work 12-hour job and finding time to start up a company was not a smooth road as well as not having money to invest and using out of pocket. Luck was on my side
Outlaw Leather – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a custom leather company for welders. We specialize in creating custom leather products. specializing in welding hoods, arm pads and welding handles. We are known for the details we place on our leather. The thing I am most proud of is the team I have behind me helping me make my business grow and dreams come true.
What sets me apart from other companies is my interactions with our customers. We strive to fully engage and offer great customer service with fast replies all over our social media pages and give out the best custom products here in Texas
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
To me success means creating a business that empowers our customers in a way that they can be proud of the product they are receiving and using in their lives.
