Meet Jewel Lewis of Jewel Lewis Texas Real Estate Salesperson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jewel Lewis.

Jewel Lewis

Jewel, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I was destined to be an entrepreneur and do whatever it takes to be successful in this world. After graduating high school at Lamar in Houston, Texas, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to attend Spelman College. After four years, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in arts in Economics on May 15, 2022. I was sure I wanted to get my real estate license, even though I was still in search of a post-graduate full-time job. Real estate became an interest of mine very shortly after starting my matriculation at Spelman College. Once I had graduated and did not have any job opportunities lined up just yet, I felt as though it was perfect timing to go to real estate school. After just two short months, beginning in September 2022, I finished my required classes. I took my real estate exam right after the new year, and unfortunately, I failed my state portion by one point the first time and passed the national portion easily. I felt so distraught, but I did not let that stop me because I scheduled to retake my exam the following week and was a License Texas sales agent by January 3, 2023. Thank you, God 🙂 I am currently attending Louisiana State University Shreveport to obtain my Master’s in Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise. I also was blessed with a full-time opportunity to become a consulting analyst for a Fortune 500 company with benefits and a sign-on bonus. Honestly, after graduating, I was terrified about what direction my life will go in because of the unknowingness of it all, but you have to stay faithful, consistent, and determined on your goals. Trust me, everything will work out!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Anything valuable will never come easy. Of course, my journey up until now has not been a smooth road in its entirety. Not only do my gender and black skin not fit the mythical norm of someone that is supposed to succeed as much as I have in this society we live in, but I am also a first-generation college graduate. Those things on paper might seem as though all odds were stacked against me because they were and still are. Although I am blessed to have the support system I have with my parents and siblings in my corner, I did not have an experienced person to guide me through every venture I wanted to pursue in life. I take all of these items into account when making decisions about my next goals. I allow it to fuel me so that I can continue to push and prove to myself that I am capable of doing whatever it is I put my mind to instead of letting it define me and listening to the naysayers. Overall, I simply have faith and trust in God to lead my steps.

As you know, we’re big fans of Jewel Lewis Texas Real Estate Salesperson. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
My name is Jewel Lewis. I am a 23-year-old, newly licensed Texas Real Estate Agent, catering mostly to Houston as well as the surrounding community. Being that Houston is my hometown, I take my career in real estate very seriously because this business is essentially about finding the perfect houses, apartments, lofts, etc., and hoping your client could picture it as a place that they want to call home. What sets me apart from others in my profession is that I treat every client as if they are a close friend. It comes naturally to me to present myself in this manner, seeing that they are entrusting me to potentially guide them through the process of making one of the biggest purchases they will ever make in their lifetime, in most of my client’s cases. I am happily available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for any questions and/or inquiries regarding all things real estate. I encourage anyone who is reading this article and is in need or is aware of anyone in need of any real estate assistance to feel free to reach out to me at any of my contacts listed below.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Surrounding myself with things that only bring happiness and joy to me has definitely been my number 1 priority lately. I have noticed a dramatic difference in the way life has been flowing for me. I feel blessed to receive the majority of positive experiences and opportunities that have been presented to me as well since I have begin this way of living. Specifically, the things that bring me the most happiness are my family, close-reliable friends, traveling domestically and soon internationally, exploring new business ventures/foods/cultures/places, learning new trades/facts/news, my two dogs, Drake & Diablo, and striving to succeed in everything I do.
