Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well, it started off with me getting compliments from both men and women on my eyebrows when I would do my makeup. First, I was thinking about doing tutorials on YouTube, but when I was in the midst of doing that, I discovered MICROSHADING, which is semi-permanent makeup and I started doing my research on it. I instantly fell in love with the technique and would stay up late nights studying it. I finally took a course and received my certification and I am very passionate about my skill.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing worth having comes easy. I lost a very dear friend, more like a sister doing the journey which caused me to fall off. I lost focus for a little bit but I know she would want me to continue and push forward. When I first started working on clients, I wanted to give up because I felt that my work wasn’t perfect (I mean, I am tattooing people’s faces) but my passion for my craft wouldn’t let me give up. I kept practicing and kept going and my work has improved tremendously to where I shock myself sometimes!

My name is Jewel and I am the proud owner of Bomb Beauty Brand LLC, where I specialize in Microshading. Microshading is a procedure where a cosmetic technician applies semipermanent makeup to your eyebrows. It’s a type of cosmetic tattoo procedure. This is great for all skin types and for those with thin eyebrows. Most of my clients don’t know how to properly draw their eyebrows when applying makeup and want the convenience of not having to do so. I make sure each client approve the shape and size before I proceed; I provide a comfortable environment and excellent customer service. I don’t just build brows; I build CONFIDENCE!!
Who else deserves credit in your story?
First of I have to thank God for blessing me with this gift and blessing my hands to even have this craft. I have people who have been rooting for me since I’ve started and been through my entire journey with me. They seen my progress and improvements, liked and shared my work, gave me words of encouragement, sent referrals and most of all prayed for me. I have the absolute best clients, which are a great support system. Lastly, my mom, who is my biggest cheerleader and supporter, I don’t know how I would be able to do it without her. I love my support system and truly grateful and blessed to have them.
