Today we’d like to introduce you to Jillian Campos.
Jillian , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After high school, I wasn’t completely sure what my future would look like, but I knew how much I loved animals. I started working at an indoor dog daycare facility, and that’s really where my journey began. Not long after, I found a dog ranch close to home and completely fell in love with everything about it. Being around the dogs every day and seeing a different side of the pet care industry made me realize this was something I truly wanted to build my life around.
That passion led me to enroll in Pima Medical Institute’s Veterinary Assistant Program, where I graduated and gained even more knowledge and experience. Over the years, I worked in daycare, boarding, veterinary care, and management, but I always had this feeling that I wanted to create something of my own.
In early 2025, I finally took that chance and started JC Pet Sitting TX. What began as a small idea has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of, and I’m so grateful for every client and pet who has trusted me along the way. I’m still learning and growing every day, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of my biggest struggles has been getting out of my own head and overcoming the fear of failure. Starting a business from the ground up meant learning everything as I went, from marketing and finding clients to managing the business side of things while still providing the best care possible.
There have been slow periods and moments where I questioned myself, but those challenges have pushed me to keep learning and step outside of my comfort zone. Looking back, I’m grateful for the harder moments because they’ve helped me grow not only as a business owner, but as a person too.

JC Pet Sitting TX is a professional in-home pet care business focused on providing dependable, personalized care while allowing pets to stay comfortable in their own home. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight stays, cat care, and care for a variety of other animals.
What sets my business apart is how much I value getting to know each pet individually—their personality, routine, needs, and what makes them feel most comfortable. With my background in veterinary care, dog daycare, boarding, and management, along with being Fear Free and Pet First Aid & CPR certified, I’m able to bring both experience and genuine compassion into the care I provide.
I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built with my clients and the relationships I’ve formed with their pets. I’ve built JC Pet Sitting TX from the ground up, and seeing it continue to grow has made me even more excited for the future.
My long-term dream is to eventually invest in land and open my own dog ranch boarding and daycare facility. I want to create a safe, enriching, and fun environment with plenty of space where dogs can play, explore, socialize, and simply be dogs. Everything I’m learning and building through JC Pet Sitting TX today is helping me work toward making that dream a reality.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think the pet care industry is changing in such a positive way. People are treating their pets more like family than ever before, and because of that, they’re looking for more than just someone to feed their dog or let them outside. They want someone they can truly trust and who will love and understand their pet.
Over the next 5–10 years, I think we’ll see even more focus on enrichment, personalized care, outdoor experiences, and creating environments where dogs can actually enjoy themselves and be dogs. I also think education and higher standards of care will become even more important.
That’s one of the reasons I’m so excited about the future of this industry. My biggest goal is to eventually invest in land and open my own dog ranch for boarding and daycare. I want to create the kind of place I would personally feel excited and comfortable leaving my own dog—a safe, fun environment with plenty of outdoor space, enrichment, and room to play and explore. I want it to be a place where dogs aren’t just being watched while their owners are away, but are genuinely having a great experience and getting the chance to just be dogs.
There’s always something new to learn in this industry and so many ways to make pet care better, and I hope to continue growing right along with it while working toward making that dream a reality.
